Server Plan Upgrade/Downgrade FAQS

E2E Networks performs all the upgrade/downgrade of plans, manually. We haven't implemented any automation procedure yet. E2E Network is not responsible for any loss of data that might occur during the process. We request you to take a backup before filing a request for upgrade/downgrade of your existing plan. What are the steps do i need to follow for upgrading/downgrading my existing plan at E2E Networks? Step 1: Take a complete back-up of the data of your existing server. Step 2: File a request for the same at cloud-platform@e2enetworks.com along with the details of your server.
Downtime
What is the downtime period required for upgrading/downgrading an existing plan? The downtime period will be totally dependent on the existing storage space. The minimum downtime window is 30 minutes.
Operating System
What is the procedure to re-install/Change the OS of an existing server? We currently do not support nor we encourage any automation in Re-installing/changing OS of an existing server. We request you to deploy a new server based on your required specifications. The data on the existing server can be migrated to your new server. File a ticket at cloud-platform@e2enetworks.com, if you are looking for a Managed Migration Plan. [ht_message mstyle="danger" title="IP Address" " show_icon="" id="" class="" style="" ]Note: If you are opting to migrate to a new cloud server, you cannot obtain the same IP address which you had, for your old server.[/ht_message] I do not want my existing Ip address changed. How can I upgrade/change the OS on my server? You can have your OS changed/upgraded on your existing server. Please file a request on cloud-platform@e2enetworks.com with your server and requirement detail details.
IPV4
Do you provide an extra IPv4 (1 Ip address default) on a cloud server? Will i be charged for it? Yes, we can provide you an extra IPv4 on request. Please file a request on cloud-platform@e2enetworks.com sharing your server credentials and reason of its need for the same. Yes, an extra IPv4 will be charged. ( 300 per IPv4/month)
Custom PTR
Can i have a custom PTR for my Cloud server IP? Yes, though we do not have an integrated option for it on our cloud portal. You can file a request on cloud-platform@e2enetworks.com with the details of your custom PTR request.

IPV6

Do you support IPv6 on cloud servers? Yes, we support IPv6. Please file a request on cloud-platform@e2enetworks.com requesting for the allocation of IPv6 for your server.
