Continuous Data Protection (CDP)

Continuous Data Protection (CDP)

Introduction

Creating and maintaining the backup of your servers manually can be a time-consuming task. Performing backups before making critical server changes is another task that you cannot ignore. Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is the solution that solves these and other server backup management challenges smoothly by reducing risk substantially. CDP ensures periodic backups of your servers as per the schedule so that you always have the option to rollback your server.

Provisioning CDP

To provision CDP for a cloud server, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to myaccount.e2enetworks.com
  2. Click on Services menu. The CDP panel is displayed.
  3. Select the server to provision from the list of available servers.
  4. Click the Provision button to setup the CDP backup instance for the selected server. If the server is MySQL based, provide your login credentials. If not, click No and then click Activate.
Note CDP agent must be installed on your server before the CDP process can start. If the agent is not installed, an error message is displayed when you try to provision a server. Please send an email to support@e2enetworks.com to resolve this issue. The following describes the fields and options available in this panel: [table id=19 /]
